Amazing Grace

So this lark of using song titles as blog headings (most of the time) might just work. ....

Am back on line (for a brief snatched moment) with good news...baby Grace arrived into the world at 2.15pm on Monday the 22nd of October. She was a whopping (in case you haven't heard, although it seems most of Ireland and elsewhere has!) 12 pounds and 7 ounces and NO she wasn't born naturally....yes another C-section for me, just as well, as it turns out. We are now home in Galway after a week (mid-term break...how well planned was that!) at home with my mother and sister who are both teachers and were delighted to lend a hand. So she's two and a half weeks old and we are both doing well.

Eilis is delighted with her new baby sister and doesn't seem phased by the fact we called her Grace instead of Baby Anabel which was the most recent name she had chosen before Grace was born. Yes, the Christmas ads on the telly might have played a hand in that name!

Imagine, I haven't uploaded one pic of our newest arrival on to my computer - so I can't post a pic just yet, but will asap. The joys of trying to snatch moments between naps....

Anyhoo, thanks for all the kind wishes....
